2015 Life Lessons

2015 has been quite a hectic year for me. I've learned how to change my perceptions in seeing things, and have understood many situations in different perspectives. Many people came into my life this year and left a mark; there were some good marks as well as some bad ones, but somehow, I managed to pick up a few life lessons to live by.

In this year, I've noticed that sometimes you would end up never speaking to someone who meant the world to you again, and that's okay. It's perfectly fine. You won't surely die from not talking to them, however, you cope and you survive. You're not going to let your losses keep you back from new gains. Some people just leave so that the better ones would come by.

Albert Schweitzer once said, "Eventually. Eventually all the pieces fall into place; until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment, and know that everything happens for a reason." When you slowly look back into the past incidents that happened a couple of months ago or throughout the year, you would now understand that everything happens for a definite reason. Whether it's so that you would get something better, or that you won't get hurt, everything would make sense in the end.

Everyone's heartbroken nowadays. I mean, we just can't move on sometimes because the wound is too deep. But, what's the point of reminiscing when you know the person is no longer worthwhile? They're no longer who they used to be, their heart is already probably somewhere else, and let's be honest, they're definitely not sitting on their couch thinking about you like how you did to them. You deserve to be happy. Don't hold on for too long for people who didn't value you.

I've also realized that we are always admiring people, and we are always blinded by people's "greatness" that we completely forgot about our own, that we are actually more blessed than anyone else. For example, you admire a rich family who goes out every time to eat luxurious food and shop expensive stuffs without thinking twice, however the parents are divorced. You, on the other hand, have sufficient amount of money to live, and have a perfect family who are so closed to each other and are constantly bonded everyday. Shouldn't you be more thankful and let people admire the things they can't buy such as a perfect family relationship?

A year has gone by too fast, like a bullet train. So many regrets on things, so many memories painted on a part of our minds, so many lessons and thoughts to ponder about. What a time to be alive. 2016, here I come.

"This is life. People will screw you over. You'll fight with family. You'll witness things that will change you forever. You'll lose best friends you thought would always be there. You'll come to realize that everyone has a past. You'll cry. You'll laugh and you'll embarrass yourself.. But then you'll find your very own moment where none of that matters; where you can sit back and realize that shit happens to the people who can handle it and that this is who you are, and that no one should want to change you, including yourself."

Food for Thought

"I'm growing up too fast. I went to Magic Kingdom yesterday and the rides were cheesier and nothing was as tall and daunting and full of mystery as I had once imagined. I miss when I lacked a grasp on reality, when I really thought I was surrounded by magic, not illusions and marketing ploys. I spent all day in this bubble of nostalgia, wandering down the streets I'd been down a dozen times before, but seemed untouched by this newer, older, and anything but self-assured version of myself.

Despite Peter Pan being my favourite Disney movie and character, I never really understood why he never wanted to grow up. But I get it now.

I never want to grow up either, Peter."

12 A.M. Thoughts

"You used to be the one, the one who'd always fill up my heart, even when you're not trying. Countless times I've let you into my heart, but you played with it like a toy. When you looked into it, and found out all the scars, cracks and bullet holes, you left. Guess nobody loves something that is broken right?

I thought you'd still talk to me at midnight, but you didn't. I used to always look into your eyes, because in your eyes I saw the light I was looking for. Now, when I look into you I saw nothing, just a pair of dull, black holes. Have you lost interest in me? You'd thought that leaving me would let me heal, but the truth is, you're the bandage that suits best on my wounds, and you have absolutely no clue. What have I done to lose you suddenly? I showed you my flaws, every single one of it, that was all I did. But, you ran away, thinking that it's the only solution, thinking that in this way I'd have a good life. You shut me off completely, and every night I've been trying to sleep peacefully, but the tears wouldn't stop rushing out.

What would life be like if I hadn't met you at the first place? Would I never feel the pain I feel now? Would I wish that I'll find someone like you? Could I ever find someone elsewho possess a rare and pure heart, just like yours?"

God Is Good

Two days ago, I attended a youth monthly gathering in my church, it was also the last gathering of the year. The event was wonderful; I enjoyed the food, and had a great worship. But, the message on that day, given by a young man named Josh, was so inspiring, and it was the strong highlight of the gathering.

The church was starting on a prayer series. Josh opened his message with how young people are able to sense the presence of God better than the rest can. In the bible, we've seen that God has used young people, like David, whom God saw and said that he was "the man after My own heart." Then, Josh talked about the prayer rooms that operate around 20 hours per day, and why prayer room even exists. According to what David said in Psalms, that's because God is good. You can have prayer rooms operating up to 20 hours a day and after such long time, you can still barely describe the vast greatness of God.

In our teenage years, we often live by two main things: what our friends have to say, and what our authorities have to say. We think that the things our friends normally say about us matter the most, like the way we dress, the way we should act, and so forth. Josh went through the same thing in his life before, but God told him, "If you don't live with the praises of men, you will not die when they rebuke you."

As young Christians, we sometimes are afraid of how people would think of us when we preach the Gospel. But, in Romans 1:16, it said: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to any one who believes." This refers back to what Josh has said about the goodness of the Lord, he added that "you'll always be ashamed of the Gospel if you don't know who God really is, and how great and wonderful he is."

When Josh was going through tough times, he spoke to God about how broken he was, and how he couldn't understand why God would still want and love such a broken person. But, God spoke to him through Psalms 51:17, and it said: "... a broken and contrite heart, you, God, will not despise." God also mentioned to him, that a broken vessel would leak, and it would let out more light. Through our brokenness and our weaknesses, is where God makes us strong.

The secret of growing up, is that you will make mistakes. The only way to deal with the mistakes and the fear in your life is to seek the Lord, pray, and read the Word. Josh told us that it was okay to read the Bible and not understand it. He gave us an example, like how we didn't remember what we ate two weeks ago, but it did us good and helped us survive. Same applies to the Word of God; we read it, and even if we don't understand, it still does something good in us, somehow.

So, three things to keep in our minds: God is good, pray and read the Word. It's a reminder for us to keep seeking the Lord, acknowledge His greatness and the things He has done for us, which cannot ever compare to the worldly things we seek in our lives.

Father, maybe now we can begin to comprehend the great love you have for us, and continue to walk with you and seek you in prayer, for you are good.

(p.s. credits to Josh for giving such a wonderful message)

You're In Control

A few weeks ago, a good friend of mine lent me a book called "Encounters With God", because he thought it might help me with the hardships I was dealing with, and try thinking deeply in God's Word. The book is basically filled with people's experiences and how they overcome their thoughts, or problems with the help of the Lord.

As I was reading a few of their stories, I stumbled upon one bold phrase (written by Cindy Ooms) that caught my eye.

"It takes a lot of guts to get to where you can really accept whatever God has planned."

I reflected upon my life and thought, yes it really did take a lot of guts. Accepting God's plan means you are admitting that you don't know what's best for you, or that your plans are never good enough compared to God's. It generally means that you're acknowledging and admitting the fact that God is in control in all things, and that everything that he has planned for you is always perfect.

Over the years I have been going along with God's plans, and I'm very satisfied with them. There are times when I feel why some things should or should not have happened, but in the future when I look back on my life, God always reveals the reasons why some things didn't happened, and that's because he has replaced them with a better one.

So, there will be a time where God wants you to fall, just to make you pick yourself up, and stand up stronger. There will be a time where God would say that certain things may not be as good. Often times, we might think that God is probably crazy for letting you miss such an opportunity, but in truth, He is always in control, and He would always provide the best for His children.

"Father, you know what's best for me. I have learned that your timing is always perfect, and you're always in control. So, thank you, for keeping me in mind that you're always here with me, no matter what."

Pain Is Inevitable, Suffering Is Optional

Upon reading Haruki Murakami's books, I have found many quotes which I can relate to in life. A few days ago, I stumbled upon a quote in one of his books, "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running". It said:

“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. Say you’re running and you think, ‘Man, this hurts, I can’t take it anymore. The ‘hurt’ part is an unavoidable reality, but whether or not you can stand anymore is up to the runner himself.”

This hits me home hard. "Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional", I repeat to myself.

The physical feeling is there, but sometimes we tend to hold on to the emotions, which we unconsciously make it worse. And still, it's our choice, whether or not to tell ourselves that we are fine.

I have probably fell a couple of times in life, and that's just unavoidable, because these downfalls are the only times we can learn. Just like what Bruce Wayne's butler, Alfred, said to him, "Why do we fall? So that we can pick ourselves up." One day, there will come a time where we fall too hard, and we will probably think it's the end of us, but the truth is that we need to hold on, and endure it. We can't just give up so soon.

So I'll tell myself that I can endure this pain, and it will probably subside soon. Because there's no use clinging onto this unnecessary sufferings that hold us back from feeling alive.

Note to self: Things will probably get better, in time.

LITTLE THINGS

I have always wanted to do something more for people. I used to think that, ‘doing something more for people’ means to sacrifice your time and pour out the most of your efforts to guide a person. I’ve realized soon after, that it doesn’t have to be this way. You can always start by doing a few little simple things at a time.

I personally like travelling, and I wish to travel more in the future, to meet different kinds of people with different backgrounds or cultures. In this way, I can reach out to people and try putting a smile on their faces. When I encounter some people, say cashiers or by passers, I’d most likely ask how they are doing, and tell them to have a great day. But this doesn’t only apply when you’re travelling. You can basically do the same in your daily lives, wherever you go.

Try talking or reaching out to people you encounter. If you’re sitting in a cab, try having a chat with a driver. If you see a cobbler on the street fixing those broken shoes under the hot sun, go get an ice cream from the nearest convenience store and give it to him. If you see any salesperson trying to promote the things they are working for, and even if you don’t seem interested at all, thank them instead and praise them for doing a great job. If you’re not much of a bubbly person, or an extrovert, you can just simply smile at them. You’d be amazed how the little things you do, or the words of encouragement you give can light up their days.

Whatever it is, your actions might inspire others. You might even get inspired by the stories people tell. It’s even better if you can encourage people to do something that they’ve always been too scared to do. And if everyone does these little things every now and then, shouldn’t the smiles of people be increasing, despite all the hardships we are all going through in our lives?

“Never stop doing the little things for others. Sometimes, those little things occupy the biggest part of their heart.”

Different People, Different Cultures

Hey guys! I know you're all wondering what's this blog all about and how do I get to know different people with different cultures, so without further ado, I'm going to go straight to the point!

I've got to know a German friend called Marie through Lucky Blue Smith, and we've been pretty good friends ever since. She's an athlete, and she's really good at pole vaulting (I kid you not). So recently, there was this street theater festival that happened in her country called Strassentheater Holzminden. She went for the festival, and I asked her to share her experience with me, therefore I could learn some of the German culture that she practiced. She agreed, and told me about the three-day festival. And I too, decided to share it with you guys.

This festival, Strassentheater Holzminden, happens every second year, with many theater artists coming from Belgium, France, Netherlands and Germany to perform in the festival. The street theater festival is usually full of loud, lively and emotional music, accompanied with a large parade led by mobile machines, acrobatics and moving performances.

My friend, Marie, explained that there were some artists in the festival who would act out lively and emotional scenes, whereas some others would entertain the audience with comedy. There were also several walking acts where artists would get a couple of audience to dance with them and get themselves involved in this festival.

(Marie: "This artist acted as a homeless man and it was so funny but also sad. There were so many people watching it.")

(Marie: "This is a walk act where the people had to follow the actors, and this is my mom who had to play along with them because the actors always choose people to get involved with them.")

(Marie: "This guy was so funny OMG! You can watch a video of him on YouTube where he was performing in another town. It's called 'Cie Du Petit Monsieur'.")

Marie also mentioned that they had the HOLI Festival this year, which was a spring festival (also known as the festival of colors, or the festival of love), It was an ancient Hindu festival originated from India, but now it has become so popular that people in different countries outside of Asia.

HOLI Festival
Besides, they had many more grand events happening at night, with really loud music and lots of people cheering for the performers.

(Marie: "It's not always an acting scene or a walk act, there were also artists doing acrobatics with a little background story added into their performances.")

(Marie: "The giant act in the evening.")

(Marie: "Walk act with super giant horses and loud, cute music.")

(Marie: "In the middle of the picture was a way through a park full of candles, and the tree located on the left side had light and sound effects, where you would be able to listen to a story.")

It has been a privilege to get to know the events that happen in Germany through Marie. Getting to know people from different parts of the world who are willing to share their culture with me is a great experience that I will never forget. (P.s. Marie, if you're reading this, I hope that the information above about your festival is correct, hahah!)

That's all for today! I hope you all find this article interesting, and yes I'll blog about some exciting stuff soon!

Model friends!

Hello friends! It has been so long ever since I last blogged, and I really do apologize for my in-activeness due to my studies, and other busy events going on. However, I've done a few drawings over the last few weeks and I would really love to show some of them to you guys!

This is a drawing I did for Hailee Lautenbach (p.s. she's a YouTuber too! Go subscribe her channel -- Hailee BoBailee) and her boyfriend Devon DeJardin:

main baes
(Note: When I DMed Hailee and Devon this drawing of mine on Instagram, Devon replied and said, 'It looks so good babe!! This is amazing, you're so kind <3 <3 thank you girl.')

I got to know Hailee and Devon this year through Lucky Blue Smith and they're the friendliest people I've ever met. I don't idolize them, but I treat them as my long distanced friends. Hailee and Devon have been there every time when I needed advice, or suggestions, and they've been supporting me in whatever I do since the day I knew them! The best gift from them was the birthday wish video that they sent it to me on my birthday aw! (check my Instagram if you wanna watch the video!)

Speaking of my birthday, I'm really grateful that so many of my model friends wished me (Lily Dale, Rachel Russell, Brighton Reinhardt, Lyzy Adler, Yulia Rose, and Josie Canseco)! Jorden Keith and Lucky's mom -- Sheridan Smith also wished me and I've never been this happy in my whole life. It's such a great experience getting to know the models from different agencies and being able to interact with them :)

Next, I drew Neels Visser from NEXT:

(Note: Neels Visser liked this art on Instagram)

Neels Visser is a good friend of Lucky and they've been really close since young. Neels interacts his fans often, but not as often as Hailee. But, he's still a great person in general :)

If you wanna look for these models from NEXT Management (Lucky Blue, Pyper America, Daisy Clementine, Starlie Cheyenne, Neels Visser, Hailee Lautenbach, Rachel Russell, Josie Canseco etc.) you can see their model profiles here: http://www.nextmanagement.com/los-angeles

Young Living Essential Oils

Hello everyone! Sorry for being so inactive for almost a month here! I have been working through some stuff for the past few weeks, and I've recently just got everything sorted out, that's why I have the time now to blog :)

So for the past few months, I have been loving this new product I have found, called the Young Living Essential Oils. It has helped me so much in easing the aches on my body (due to climbing Mount Kinabalu) and also giving me a speedy recovery in my minor injuries.

Among the whole collection of Essential Oils, here are some of the common ones/ favorites I use in my daily life:

1) Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender Essential Oil has a really sweet, floral aroma that gives me a calm and soothing feel. I usually put a few drops in the diffuser to help me relax and wind down for bedtime. Sometimes, I apply them on my mosquito bites, so it helps me to stop the itch and reduce the redness. It's beneficial for people who has skin irritations (like me).

2) Purification Essential Oil

Purification Essential Oil initially helps to freshen the air and eliminate odors, but I use it on my mosquito bites as well because it smells like Lemongrass and it also works as a mosquito repellent in my morning hikes!

3) Wintergreen Essential Oil

Wintergreen Essential Oil has helped me so much ever since I came back from Mount Kinabalu, because it has this sweet, minty scent, and is good for massaging head tension and muscle aches after exercising.

4) Peppermint Essential Oil

I use Peppermint Essential Oil often when I have stomach discomfort (I apply them on my stomach), headaches, or sore neck and shoulders. Because this essential oil has the peppermint flavor that all of us kids love (because of candy canes!), I usually inhale it before I start my day to keep myself awake for the day.

So that's all for today! There are many more Essential Oils that I apply sometimes, but there's just too much to write! Overall, I sincerely recommend this product because it has really helped my family so much and improved our lifestyle. If you want to know more of the Essential Oil details, here's the website: https://www.youngliving.com/en_US

I hope this article helps you in some way! I'll be sure to blog soon about my future activities so stay tuned for more! x

Mount Kinabalu Trip!

Last week, my family and I joined Uncle Ong Hock Siew and his family to climb Mount. Kinabalu in Sabah! We woke up very early on Monday and headed to the airport to catch our 7.30a.m. flight. We then landed in Kota Kinabalu at around 10.30a.m., and joined Uncle Ong and his family for lunch.

After lunch, we took a bus to Kundasang and shopped for some souvenirs at the stalls located near the roadside. As soon as we finished shopping, we got up the bus, headed to Pines Hotel and had a rest while enjoying the sunset view. We had steamboat for dinner, and the food there was delicious! Bedtime was quite early for us, as we had to prepare ourselves for the climb the next day.

The next morning after breakfast, we headed to the starting point of the climb and registered ourselves. We started climbing as soon as everything was sorted out. The first few hours up to Laban Rata was quite easy, but it became tough after we reached the 'Mempening Rest Stop' because that was where the AMS (Altitude Mountain Sickness) hit us. As the weather got colder, we wore our sweaters and climbed up slowly to Laban Rata.

We reached Laban Rata at approximately 4.30p.m., and we were on time for dinner. Due to our mild headaches from the AMS and our tiredness, we went straight to bed after dinner.

On the third morning, we were about to experience the toughest climb ever -- to the peak of Mount. Kinabalu! We had to put on some extra layer of clothes because it would get colder and colder as we climbed up. The climb to the peak was indeed really tough, at some point we had to use ropes to pull ourselves up the steep slopes, and our headaches kept getting worse.

All of us finally reached the peak at around 12.30pm, and it felt great to enjoy the breathtaking view at the top. After taking some pictures, we headed down to Laban Rata to have our dinner and stayed for one more night.

The next morning was an easy climb down the mountain, but because our muscles were all sore from the climb for the past two days, it made it harder for us to climb down. We were all so relieved when we reached the starting point of the climb, and quickly went to Balsam Buffet Restaurant to have our lunch. After lunch, we hopped into our bus and headed the Palace Hotel to wash up and prepared for dinner. Dinner was at Supertanker, and the food over there was pretty good I must say.

After dinner, came our 'award ceremony', where Uncle Ong presented our certificates as a recognition of our successful climb to the peak of Mount. Kinabalu. Each of us shared a little of our experience during the climb after the presentation and we laughed and had a great time together.

On the fifth day, we followed Uncle Ong to try the "Ngao Chap" (beef noodle) somewhere near our hotel. I must admit, the beef balls and noodles were so delicious! Because we had nothing to do after lunch, Uncle Ong suggested to bring my family and I to do some shopping at a newly-opened mall called Imago.

On the last day of our trip in Kota Kinabalu, we relaxed ourselves and went to shop at some malls in town. We headed back to our hotel to check out at 3.00p.m. and went to Uncle Ong's hotel room to have a little chat with him and his wife, Auntie Inky. Uncle Ong then sent us to the airport at 5.00p.m. and we bid goodbyes to each other.

In my Mount Kinabalu trip, I found a quote on Instagram that related well with the climb. It says 'I am and always will be the optimist, the hoper of far flung hopes, and the dreamer of improbable dreams'. This quote was posted by a user named @andreahowey with a text saying,

"Give yourself permission to get your hopes up. To dream big, improbable dreams. To believe that God is up to something good for your life. It may feel completely laughable and ridiculous to get your hopes up for things that have no indication they could ever come to pass. Hope anyway. Your faith is the substance of things hoped for, of things not yet seen. Begin declaring things that are not as though they were. Get your hopes up about the plans and purpose God has for your life. Dream again. Expect God to make a way where there seems to be no way. His thoughts toward you are good, not bad. He has a good plan for your life. You may be doubting that at the moment, going through a tough time. It's okay. I've been there, and so have many others. But I invite you to give yourself permission to hope again. To believe that the best is yet to come. Your story isn't over. There are good days ahead."

This text was a great motivation to my climb, and a big lesson in my life. I would like to thank Uncle Ong and his family for giving us the opportunity to climb Mount. Kinabalu with them, and to have so much fun with!

That's all for now, if you want to see how tough my climb was, check out my video on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZF4L_u64aY (I suggest you change the video quality into HD because it gives you a clearer and more vivid video!)

Professional photographer and vlogger?

Hello my fellow readers! There's something I need to tell you: I will be climbing the highest mountain in Malaysia -- Mount Kinabalu in a week's time! Therefore, I went to buy the new GoPro HERO4 Silver to vlog throughout the whole trip!

Here are the gadgets that I bought with my GoPro:

GoPro HERO4 Silver + Mount and Accessories
The HERO4 Silver captures 1080p60 and 720p120 video, plus 12MP photos at a staggering 30 frames per second. There are new features in this new GoPro, for example the HiLight Tag, which lets you mark key moments for easy playback, editing and sharing, and QuikCapture, which allows you to power on the camera and start recording with the press of a single button. The HERO4 Silver is also waterproof to 131’ (40m).

There's so many features in this GoPro, but I just can't list all of it down, so here are a few of them:

The new HERO4 Silver has a built-in touch display, enabling you to just swipe the screen and navigate camera menus and change the settings. It also has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which makes it easier for you to share it with your friends and family anywhere in the world! What's most exciting is the Time Lapse mode feature, because you can just capture a Time Lapse video directly from this HERO4, without spending time in the editing room!

GoPro Hero4 Silver
The gadgets I bought together with this HERO4 are: a 360-degree backpack mount, a monopod, an extra battery (because the GoPro itself only has a battery in the package), and two memory cards.

Memory cards, batteries, cables, waterproof and usual screen
The GoPro HERO 4 comes with three different screens: the underwater (40m) screen, the normal waterproof (for uses like swimming pool underwater photos/video) screen, and the usual one that only surrounds the border without covering the screen.

Monopod, mounting screw, 360-degree backpack mount
The 360-degree backpack mount is very useful to me because I will be climbing the mountain while carrying a backpack, so instead of mounting it on my head, I can just clip my GoPro on the strap of my bag! The grips of the clip are definitely very strong, so you don't have to worry whether the HERO4 is going to drop while you're walking!

As for the monopod, it's super useful when you're vlogging or getting a selfie/group photo! You can mount it with any electronic devices such as your smartphone, not just the GoPro.

That's all for now! I'll definitely blog about my trip to Kota Kinabalu and my climb to Mount Kinabalu, so stay tuned! x

Today's Haul!

This afternoon, I went to NU Sentral to do some shopping with my mom and brother, whereas my dad went for a meeting nearby. And here's today's haul:
Today's haul! :)
First of all, I went to Typo and got this lovely phone skin for my iPhone. I picked out this world map design because it actually reminded me of what I really want to do in the future, which was to travel the world.

Typo phone skin for iPhone 4/4s
Next, I went to The Face Shop to get myself some CC Cream and perfume. I really liked the products in The Face Shop because it made my skin looked more natural, so my face wouldn't look like it had been completely smudged with heavy makeup. I also bought this two Soul perfumes to try it out, since the sales assistant mentioned to me that the fragrance was nice.

CC Cream 02
Soul: Sweet Kiss and Secret Blossom
After getting the cosmetics, I decided to go to H&M because I recently heard about the Coachella photo-shoot and my favorite model Lucky Blue Smith was in it. So, I wanted to see whether there were any catalogs or posters of him in the store (I'm weird sometimes haha!). When I got there, I was completely right.

Lastly, I went to Guardian to get my new Maybelline master eyeliner. I personally prefer the crayon types rather than the liquid ones because I tend to draw it better with the crayon ones.

So that's all for today! Stay tuned for more interesting articles! x

Lucky Blue Smith, The Atomics and more!

I recently read about this 'Insta-famous' young model named Lucky Blue Smith. He was born on June 4, 1998 and was from Utah, USA. When he was signed with Next Models management together with his two sisters, Pyper America and Daisy Clementine (except for his oldest sister Starlie Cheyenne, who was too short to model), his whole family decided to move to Los Angeles, California. The Smith siblings also formed a band, with Starlie being the lead singer and guitarist, Daisy as the bassist, Pyper as the guitarist, and Lucky as the drummer. Recently, they've announced that The Atomics' album would be out soon.

Left to right: Lucky, Starlie, Pyper and Daisy
I'm amazed at how great looking and talented the Smith siblings were at such a young age, especially Lucky. So I decided to draw him last week. Here's the picture of my drawing:

Lucky Blue Smith (duration: 3-4 hours)
I hope to meet the Smith siblings one day. That would definitely be added into my bucket list!

If you want to follow them on Instagram, here's their username!

Insurgent Premiere!

Yesterday night, my two great friends (Abby and Joy) and I went to the premiere screening of Insurgent :) I've never been to a premiere before, therefore I was super excited because I got to experience how it was to watch a movie first before anyone else!

We met in One Utama at around 7.15p.m., and had dinner at a restaurant called O Banh Mi. That restaurant serves Vietnamese baguette and noodles, so I decided to try one of their vegetarian baguettes. I didn't quite like the pickled carrots and onions because I'm just not used to eating cold and pickled stuff! But if you're curious about what the food tastes like, you should go give it a try!

Hey, it's me :)
After dinner, we went straight up to the cinema (GSC) to collect our tickets for the movie. There were so many people at the cinema and it was just crazy! We bought some popcorn and drinks, and headed up to the cinema hall to be seated.

Screening Passes!
Overall the movie was awesome. I must say that it was better than the first one (Divergent)! The simulation scenes were epic, and I definitely couldn't wait for the last movie of the trilogy, which was Allegiant! My night was definitely well spent yesterday with two of my great friends :)

Great movie!
(P.S.) - So terribly sorry that I didn't update for weeks! I was really busy with works, sports, and some of my art stuff! I will definitely blog about some of them soon! Stay tuned! x
